A Microsoft account is used to sign in to services such as Outlook.com (mail), SkyDrive (cloud file storage) , Windows Phone (operating system for telephone), Xbox LIVE (game console), Windows 8.1 (operating system for computers\laptops\tablets). If you use an email address and password to sign in to these and other services, you already have a Microsoft account, but you can sign up for a new one at any time.

What kind of rights are these?
Administrator rights in Windows 8 allow the user/application to make absolutely any changes and perform various actions on the computer (this does not apply to protected system files and directories), including creating accounts with any access rights and deleting them. Quite experienced users studying Windows 8 (for example, to create builds), testing software, sometimes cause harm to the operating system. What can we say about beginners - the administrator account quite often leads to the fact that the system has to be restored, at best, or completely re-installed.
Account with extended privileges in G8
Not everyone can log into an account with extended privileges on a computer simply because it is disabled by default by Windows developers. When installing the OS, an account with unlimited privileges is created, but it is deactivated for security purposes, and the user is asked to create a new account with slightly limited access to make changes to the registry and system directories.
If you are not an administrator setting up and maintaining your computer, you absolutely do not need this account. Allow programs that require these permissions to run with elevated rights, or run applications as an administrator.
In the first case, go to the “Properties” of the application shortcut or executable file and click on the “Advanced” button.
Check the box next to the option shown and save the changes by clicking “Ok” in both windows.
For the second case, call the context menu of the exe file or program shortcut and select the corresponding item from the drop-down list of available options, as in the screenshot.
These are the simplest methods to gain administrator privileges. An activated Administrator account will allow you to log into the system with elevated rights.

Profile activation via command line
The method given first is due to the ease of implementation of the plan.

In addition, the system has an administrator account, which is created during Windows installation. A user working under it has access to all files and folders on the computer, can change any system settings, and edit the accounts of other users. All other accounts are standard. Those who work under them have access to most settings, can fully work on the computer, but do not have the right to change settings that affect other accounts, and do not have access to system folders.
Usually a local account is enough to work. In addition, creating a Microsoft account without an Internet connection is pointless. Let's look at creating both types of accounts.
Creation
Creating any type of account in Windows 8 starts the same way. Open the Settings panel and click Change PC settings. In the panel that appears, click the Users button, and then click Add User.
The window that appears on the screen after clicking the Add User button depends on whether the computer is connected to the Internet. If there is access to the Network, the window will look like this.
If there is no access, the corresponding window will open.
Local account
To sign up for a local account, click Sign in without a Microsoft account. A window will appear in which you can read about all its advantages. To continue, click the Local Account button.
A window will appear on the screen with fields in which you need to enter the new user’s data (name, password and a hint that will help you remember a forgotten password).
To complete registration, click Finish in the next window.

In previous versions of Windows, you could create a new user in Account Management, which was done using the Control Panel. In Windows 8, the "old" classic Control Panel cannot create a new account.
To create a user account, you should now use the Change Computer Settings panel.

Switch to and from a Microsoft account
